Q. Can we participate in the tour with children?
A.
Yes. We have children size bicycles available and child seats which can accommodate children up to 22kgs. However, availability of the children size bicycles and child seats are limited so please reserve early.

Q. What is the parking situation?
A.
There is parking in the Hida City Office（Free until 2012/3/31）and free parking behind the JRHida Furukawa station. MAP

Q. How do we make reservations for the tour?

Q. Can we pay by credit card?
A.
A Sorry, we currently only accept cash on the day of the tour.

Q. What happens if it rains?
A.
In the case of rain, we will call you to discuss alternatives. If we feel that the weather is too dangerous to ride, we will cancel the tour. In this case, we will contact you prior to the tour.

Q. What is the cancellation policy?
A.
We currently do not charge a cancellation fee. However, please contact us if you are to cancel the tour.

Q. How physically fit do I have to be in order to participate in the tour?
A.
Our tour is a casual ride through the Japanese countryside. Our Standard and Short courses are relatively flat, and therefore we recommend either of these courses for beginners.

Q. What should I wear?
A.
Please wear comfortable clothes appropriate for bicycle riding. Sneakers, shorts or pants are appropriate. Also, we recommend hat and sunglasses during the summer, and hat, gloves, windbreakers, and layered clothing in colder weather.
Also, please bring rain gear in case of sudden rain during the tour.

Q. What do I do with my personal belongings?

We will keep your personal belongings in the reception area while you go on the tour. However, please note that we are not responsible for any damage or losses. Therefore, please bring your valuables with you on the tour.

Q. Can a party of one participate in the tour?
A.
Absolutely!

Q. What is the restroom situation?
A.
Unfortunately, we don't have a restroom at the starting point of the tour. However, there are restrooms (western style) along the course. We recommend that you use the restroom before you arrive.

Q. Is insurance included in the fee?
A.
We have accident insurance premium included in our tour fee as required by law. For rentals, we also have accident insurance and liability insurance included in the rental fee (TS Mark). Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this.

Q. What is the "Anshin Ride Pack" option?
A.
"Anshin Ride Pack", available for 500 yen/bike, is insurance for any damages to the bicycle. Typically, any damages to the bicycle for will be the responsibility of the participant. However, with the purchase of this service, Hida Satoyama Cycling will cover all costs of the damage. Please select the option on the reservation page if you would like to include this in your tour or rental package.
